Award-winning filmmaker Nash Bhatt, who lives in York County and runs Nash Bhatt Productions, has written the script for a new a suspense thriller “A Considerate Husband.” Read an excerpt from an email Bhatt sent this week:
I will be shooting on Oct. 11, 12, and 13 in York and Columbia. The story of “A Considerate Husband” revolves around three police officers who search a house of a person who has filed a report about his missing wife. All actors and crew members are local and involved various eras of filmmaking.
His film “The Rise and Fall of Their American Dream,” won the Bronze Palm Award at the 2010 Mexico International Film Festival. The story is about three friends who try and fail to achieve the American Dream. It has three main languages — English, Hindi and Spanish — and incorporates ethnic music styles and issues.
The topics were close to Bhatt who moved to York Country from Gujarat, India with his family in 1990. He studied editing, filming and lighting courses at York Community Access Television (now White Rose Community Television). In 2004, he debuted his short film “Instant Aggression,” a movie about a violent situation that erupts at a child’s birthday party. Read more about him.
